Iterative calibration of the horizontal K-values

The iterative change of the K values is carried out with the help of the target and actual gradients according to the formula:

with:

k = hydraulic conductivity of the elements

I = gradient of the model calculation

Is = gradient of the target state

n = iteration step

 

  • The K values are changed in the elements in which the angle between the target and actual gradient is less than 60 degrees.

  • Elements with anisotropic K values (use of ZONE and MATE) are not calibrated!

  • The calibrated K values can have upper and lower limits by specifying minimum and maximum K values (KMIN / KMAX9.
