If you want to display the data of a deeper layer in a 3D vertical model, this corresponds to the Top view/map presentation… ("horizontal section") in a 3D horizontal model. The FE mesh is identical in such sections!

Specifying the slice number "4" in the Create plot → Top view/map presentation… toolbar item (green slice in the figure on the left) results in the top view of the data of the 4th slice in the X-Y coordinate plane (figure on the right).
