For calculations using the soil water balance or RUBINFLUX methods, the surface sealing data must be provided via the element data type VERS in %. For the procedure for determining the groundwater recharge rate according to the Meßer method, a sealing percentage is required for the assessment of the mixed vegetation classes in the land use, but this is calculated internally within the programme when converting the input data (RVR code, CORINE land use or ATKIS) into the land use attributes (NMFN) for estimation with the Meßer method.
