Data identifier: GENE [-]
This data type is used to generate uniform rectangular meshes. All coordinates and corresponding element definitions are generated automatically so that the node (KOOR) and element (ELEM) incidences for the generated area can be omitted. Several rectangular meshes, including contiguous ones, can be generated simultaneously. A generated rectangular mesh can also be combined with the KOOR and ELEM data types. The generated node and element definitions are saved in the output file of the model check. The format is consistent with the model file, as a result the data can be copied into the model file (*.net) to supplement an existing data set or for modification. This is necessary if the model file is to undergo further processing with SPRING. Each uniform rectangular mesh is defined by the following input data:.
Columns 1 - 10: X1 x-coordinate bottom lefthand corner in m
Columns 11 - 20: Y1 y-coordinate bottom lefthand corner in m
Columns 21 - 30: X2 x-coordinate top righthand corner in m
Columns 31 - 40: Y2 y-coordinate top righthand corner in m
Columns 41 - 46: NX number of elements in x- direction
Columns 47 - 52: NY number of elements in y- direction
Columns 53 - 58: NAK first node number, node at coordinates (X 1, Y 1)
Columns 59 - 64: NAE first element number (bottom lefthand element)
Columns 65 - 70: IVH = 1 horizontal node numbering
IVH = 0 vertical node numbering
Columns 71 - 80: PHI rotation angle in degree
Example:
The following picture results for this number combination:
(X1 = (10.0, 25.0), X2 = (100.0, 70.0), NX = 6, NY = 2, NAK = 1, NAE = 20, IVH = 1, PHI = 20.0 degree)
